Create users
Create an account in selected clients or generate a numbered range of accounts.
Applies to userXpress 1.9.5.50
Check the intended clients and the required SAP permissions before creating accounts. Choose a user ID that is valid under your organization’s naming policy.
Create an account in selected clients
- Open Create User from the Global User Table.
- Select the clients in which the account should be created.
- Choose Get Common Data to load values shared by those clients.
- Enter the user ID, initial password, name and other required attributes.
- Review role assignments. Common assignments apply across the selected clients; client-specific entries apply only to their indicated target.
- Choose Create User.
- Read the Comment column and Results tab for the outcome in each client.
If a value is not available after Get Common Data, check whether it exists in every selected client. Do not substitute an unrelated role or security policy just to continue.
Create a numbered range
Use Create Ranged Users when your account-naming policy calls for a numbered sequence of accounts.
Enter an ID pattern with [] where the sequence number should appear, such as USER_[]. Set the range and review the leading-zero option. Choose the source account under Create From when roles and profiles should be copied.
Review Password is Productive before starting: it changes the intended password behavior for the new accounts. Confirm the target and range, run the creation, then inspect the result.
Check the requested range carefully to avoid creating unwanted accounts. Verify the resulting names, copied authorizations and target clients.
