Settings and session tools

Manage your session password, application appearance, activity history and workspace layout.

Application settings affect how the workspace behaves. Some password options also change whether an administration action prompts for a value.

Session password

Use the session-password action to change the password protecting your userXpress session. This is distinct from resetting a selected SAP user’s password.

Saved AutoStart credentials depend on the application’s credential protection. After changing the session password, verify the connections you rely on. Use Lock Screen when leaving the workstation; unlock the application using your session password.

Appearance and table behavior

Open the settings action to adjust the application theme and Global User/Role Table behavior. Check password defaults separately before performing bulk password operations.

Use Reset Layout if the workspace arrangement prevents you from finding a window. This is a layout operation, not a reset of SAP account data.

Under Settings → Passwords, check the predefined initial and productive password choices and the options for showing their dialogs. Suppressing a dialog allows the corresponding password action to use its configured value without prompting. Verify these settings before bulk password changes.

Activity and diagnostic information

Activity History shows changes made during the current session. Display Errors Log opens application error information for investigation. Use Information to inspect the application version, loaded modules and system information; Copy copies the displayed technical details, and SAP Client Info shows SAP client installation information. Review copied details and logs before sharing them.

Information window with Diagnostics and Create support request buttons.

Information provides access to Diagnostics and Create support request.

For a slow startup or system load, use Information → Diagnostics and follow Measure loading performance. To send a problem report and approved files, use Information → Create support request and follow Create a support request.

When reporting a problem, include the application version, the action you selected, the system/client context and the exact result. Review files before attaching them to a support request. See Troubleshooting.
